I’m Luca Pietrosanti, Roman-born art historian, licensed guide and, above all, a storyteller.

After years lecturing and guiding for museums and cultural institutions, and traveling the world myself, I created Rome Art Stories around a simple belief: a great trip isn’t about seeing more. It's about experiencing more.​

Together with a small team of fellow Romans, art historians and world-travelers, all licensed guides, I design unique experiences grounded in scholarship, but never heavy with it...we take history seriously, not ourselves!

So yes, we explore monuments, archaeology and great works of art, but also neighborhood food, popular traditions, hidden corners, curious details, local habits...an experience of Rome that you simply can’t find in the guidebooks or large group tours.​

 

We have little patience for rushed sightseeing or tourism as box-checking.  What matters to us is simpler: that you experience Rome in a way that is uniquely yours, enjoy a tour that is refreshingly surprising, and bring a few good stories home to enjoy for years to come.
